Dear Investor,
No matter how close
it seemed, no matter how many recounts took place, in spite of all
the legal maneuvering, in retrospect George W. Bush's victory was
a fait accompli from the beginning.
NOT because he's the son of
a former President, or because Al Gore couldn't shake off the tarnish
of the Clinton scandals. The truth is, every step of
George W. Bush's meteoric rise to power was choreographed, planned
and fueled by an incredibly powerful and influential group of billionaires,
who behind the scenes pulled the strings every step of his way.
These billionaires have
bent every election law possible, poured untold millions into "soft
money" political action committees and provided an army of political
campaign workers that even outmatched the largest labor unions in
this country.
How else would a man with a
horrible track record in business, mediocre intellect (he was a
C student at Yale), and an admitted drinking problem (arrested for
drunk driving) who never held an elected office suddenly go from
being a General Partner of the Texas Rangers to Governor of Texas
virtually overnight?
Now just six years after
being elected Governor of Texas, he's walked into the Oval office
and become the most powerful man on the planet. How did
this happen?
