       These billionaires have bent every election law possible, poured untold millions into "soft money" political action committees and provided an army of political campaign workers that even outmatched the largest labor unions in this country.

      How else would a man with a horrible track record in business, mediocre intellect (he was a C student at Yale), and an admitted drinking problem (arrested for drunk driving) who never held an elected office suddenly go from being a General Partner of the Texas Rangers to Governor of Texas virtually overnight?
